Old Cookbooks

My parents just got back from spending a month in Charleston and my Mom bought me a copy of the Charleston Junior League's "Charleston Receipts.". It is America's Oldest Junior League Cookbook in print. Anyway, I'm only a couple pages into reading it and I'm cracking up because there are several pages on how to make wine.

I don't think the Junior League cookbooks today contain wine recipes.

P.S. There are some awesome old names in here.

P.S.S. I really like to read cookbooks, but I'm not crazy about cooking.... Weird, no?
