A new book on Appreciative Coaching.

My sister Malathy is considered as the best Maths teacher in her locality. Do you know that she conducts entrance exam to take in students? I wonder what will she say about “Appreciative Coaching”.

I am emailing her this blog post. The book ‘Appreciative Coaching: A Positive Process for Change’ is written by three eminent academicians of Capella University- the best
e-learning institution in America since 1993.

In this book, the education is more focused on psychological methods of assessing the student’s level of understanding and knowledge and adopting the coaching methods that is more suitable to the student.

It is all achieved through posing positive questions, different test methods to measure the individual’s strengths and weaknesses.

Sara Orem, PhD, a faculty member in the online university’s School of Business and Technology, is one of the authors of this book and the other two are Jacqueline Binkert and Ann Clancy. Both hold PhD degree.

For more information, please visit Capella.edu or call 1-888-CAPELLA (227-3552).

Amazon turns in to logistics.

Ship, ship and ship though Amazon.

What does it mean? Bought anything in e-bay or in any online shopping mall? You don't have to have any fear of getting it shipped to you by any unreliable services.

Approach Amazon and they will do it for you through their various distribution centers located across the nation.

They offers express shipping and normal shipping also and the cost of course varies. My sister was offered even free shipping by Amazon last week because she has accumulated some reward points with Amazon.

I think this will entice retailers to explore the possibility of selling through Amamzon. A very wise expansion by Amazon.

What are you doing?

Everyone is asking the same question in Twitter, "What are you doing?”
Twitter is sort of a social networking site where as usual you develop global online contacts which can turn in to a beautiful friendship.

Ok, I don't understand how it is possible by just asking this question? What can an answer indicate?

Answer one: I just recorded music.
Answer two: Searching Recipe.

That’s all in the answers page. Nothing else but an ad by Google below the answer and it is not even relevant to recipes.

I don't think the site will anything from adsense if that is their purpose. I heard that Twitter is becoming very popular among major social networking sites. But how and why?

Am I missing something; but there is nothing here to miss.

Will Smorty hire me?

I never heard of Smorty.com till now.

In my previous post, I saw a google ad with a headline that says 'Get paid to blog'.
Anyway, I looked up at smorty.com and they hire bloggers to represent their clients in our blogs!

The interface looks familiar to me and the terms and conditions too. They pay $6 per post and our blog should have been indexed in google.

They pay weekly through paypal it seems but when I did a google, I did not find any reference from anyone that they have been paid by smorty. May be they are new. How come I missed them completely?

I will try to get my blog approved. I am sure of a positive outcome.

Oh, I forgot! What about my PR qualification?

Can we find broken links automatically?

While submitting our blogs to directories and other blogs, we are mostly asked to place a reciprocal link.

Ok, we abide by it obediently and the links take their position in our blogs. But after some time, these links when clicked on point to a 'No page found' error message. This means, the said website or blog disappeared from the server.

This creates a bad image on us and search engines also don't view it friendly. But is is not possible for us to check the links every now and then.

I found out a website that solves our problem. If you key in your website or blog, it immediately notifies all the broken links.

Here it is that website. 1hit.com
Thank you 1 hit.

East Hills

East Hills is a southwestern suburb, located on the northern side of the Georges River. Before it was developed, East Hills was the name once used to describe the whole area south of Bankstown to the Georges River and east to The River Road. Not many landmarks in the suburb apart from the East Hills Shopping Court (left) and the East Hills Hotel (right).

Dream Home Magazine.

Dream Homes Magazine is everything a home buyer looks for. It offers luxury homes in all the communities of Southern California that includes San Diego, La Jolla, Coronado, San Clemente, Rancho Santa Fe, and Laguna Niguel.

One can also search for properties by City and Zip. But right now the best business bet is orange county real estate without any doubt. The prices are zooming like never before; dreamhomesmagazine.com reports the median price of a home in Del Mar California was basically flat at $1,234,000, the median La Jolla price rose 12 percent to $1,000,000, Coronado rose 6 percent to $1,300,000 and Rancho Santa Fe’s 92091 ZIP code rose 12.5 percent from $2,000,000. All these information is according to the data compiled by DataQuick, a real estate information service.

With global warming and other predictions of cyclones and all that, Southern California is virtually a heaven on earth with excellent climate around the year. Every citizen in San Diego, Orange County and La Jolla are neighbors envy.

The industry’s most professional real estate agents and their office address can be found in dreamhomesmagazine.com

The helpful yoono.

My search for an online learning institution that offers authentic course on tarot reading took nearly 45 minutes. I badly wanted to compare them with a few more institutions but I just did not have enough time to search.

Suddenly I remembered the yoono tool bar and its friendly ticker. Thanks to its wonderful technology, I was able to complete my comparison shopping in less than 7 minutes.

This yoono tool bar displays similar websites that we are viewing in a scrolling fashion. Take the cursor on the any one of the displayed results, the scrolling stops. Even you can lock the animation, click one by one on the search results.

You can even use this to park your favorites and share it with public.

Try it friend. It is very useful.

Homegrown Rhubarb and White Asparagus Now In

The freshest homegrown rhubarb and white asparagus is now available at the Belleville Country Store.

Though a vegetable stalk, rhubarb is treated more like a fruit, and is typically used in desserts, such as pies. Rhubarb is very tart, so it is best to pair with sweet fruits, especially strawberries.

White asparagus, with its more more delicate flavor and tender texture, is grown underground to inhibit its development of chlorophyll, creating its distinctive white color. Green and white asparagus are interchangeable in recipes; however, white asparagus needs to be peeled, and needs to cook 10-15 minutes longer than the traditional green asparagus.

Pay you to blog.

Linking to related blogs, reading them with genuine interest and making friendship with them are some of the very effective methods of blog promotion.

Making your blog's presence in the ever growing blogosphere can be a daunting task but nor if you really have a passion for blogging and blog promotion.

If your blog's content is useful, readers will come automatically. I do not believe in the design and structure of a blog to attract visitors. Not all bloggers out of over 2 billion bloggers are native English but still some of them also command a lot of respect from U.S. and U.K..

I know I have provided useful information in my blog and I also visit others in the same field.
I know and God knows that I am good.

It pays to blog but not in terms of money always.

Flip Flops promote your company.

Selling balloons and badges are not highly productive methods of fund raising nowadays.

In schools and colleges, the annual fund raising committee spends one full day discussing new ideas to raise funds but end up spending some by way refreshments.

Nothing innovative comes up and they finally settle down for a maths project by in house students.

It is time that they approach Bagus custom for Simple Fundraising ideas that is new, unique and productive too.

What they do is give you beautifully made sandals in a variety of styles and colors and print them with your organization or business logo.

These flip flops are of very high quality and durable. Children will love them for its colors and logo. In their web site, you can choose colors and style before placing your order. Many big companies like ESPN, Toyota, and The X Games are their regular clients.

They can supply sandals of all sizes that suit children and adults. I have seen some samples at their website and there are sandals in terrific looking colors.

Power Blooging by Amera.

Yesterday, my sister Malathy introduced me to one of her friend Amera from Bangladesh.

This is a rare event and I think this is the first time I am exposed to her blogosphere. Thank you sis.

I visited powerblogging.com and immediately recognized why my sister liked Amera. Both of them write with the same style and both share common interest apart from blogging. I saw a post about Steve Pavlina in Amera's blog. I remember Malathy also wrote about him and his million dollar experiment in one her blogs.

What I liked in Amera's blog is the undertone of independence and peculiar sense of urgency. I may be forgiven for any wrong impression.

Obviously she has taken a lot of effort to compile some data.

Cheers to her.

Why do we need an adtracker?

The affordability factor alone makes me not go in for an adtracker. I fully agree the value of tracking the online advertisements we all give to attract more visitors and thereby increase the chances of more sales.

With as low as $50 budget, one can opt for PPC advertising or undertake a low budget email marketing or a much lower PTR method. Ok, sales are trickling in, we feel elated that our investment is paying off.

But, if we deploy an adtracker strategy in our ad campaigns, we can narrow down the source of sales, increase our spending in that area and cut down the non-productive avenues.

For example, if our initial budget is $50 spread over two different campaigns and we come to identify which campaign is more productive by tracking properly, we can eliminate the second campaign and concentrate on the first one.

So, with only $25, if we get a sale of $100, we tweak our ROI for a better ratio.

Shall we search for an ideal ad tracker?

Are we wiser than Greeks and Romans?

Obviously not but we do exercise wisdom occasionally when more gold mines are discovered. Of late, we don’t come across such news of new gold mines-are we?

The modern world is enjoying the fruits and wisdom of ancient Greeks and Romans since they were the ones that introduced gold to us. With the onset of Internet, the buying of gold bullion and gold jewels can be bought online.

Who can deny the fact that the beauty of a gold bar lies in its proven ability to diversify investments, protect wealth and preserve one’s purchasing power?

We can even select the best and the most authentic precious metals sellers with the power of internet. Buying gold and silver from a reputed merchant is the most important aspect of bullion investing. We cannot afford to compromise on quality and customer service.

Through Monex Deposit Company (MDC) you can purchase silver, gold or other precious metals and coins for immediate personal delivery or arrange for convenient and safe storage at an independent bank or depository. For over 30 years, U.S. residents have been buying from Monex.

Am I affected by Doubleclick and Google?

Two days one since the take over of DoubleClick by Google, considered to be hottest ever buy in the internet. Even the take over of Youtube did not create such a flutter then.

I feel the simultaneous attempt by Yahoo and MSN to gobble up the DoubleClick is the main reason for this hype. How you and I are affected whether positively or negatively by this coup remains to be seen.

Even the local daily 'The Hindu" featured an article on this hot topic today. Oblivious to what is going on, I am sure many would have just glanced through the article because they feel there is no way it can create an impact on their day to day internet activities.

I sense that this online display advertising is going to witness a sea of change and publishers are in for some financial gains and advertisers too can expect better traffic.

Thank You for the Warmth of Your Concern

The unseasonable weather has taken quite a toll on local crops. While Eckert's has suffered extensive damage, the Eckert Family is happy to report that their homegrown strawberry, peach, blackberry, and apple crops will be available for purchase in the Belleville Country Store, as scheduled.

"A lot of farmers have endured quite a loss over the last week," said Chris Eckert. "Although its been difficult, our family is extremely thankful to everyone who has supported us with their their thoughs and prayers. We appreciate everyone's concerns, and are now just looking forward to the warmer weather!"

For more information on crop conditions, and when the produce will go on sale at the Belleville Country Store, please visit www.eckerts.com or call the Harvest Hotline at (618) 233-0513 x. 1.

A terrific socail bookmarking resource.

Like people collect stamps, coins, antiques and so on, I collect resources for webmasters and blogmasters to promote their website/blogs.

I derive great pleasure while doing so and most of the times, my posts regarding such resources were received with gratitude and appreciation.

Here is one:

Uvouch.com gives you one easy web site where users can search for the best in online videos and websites, collect the videos and links to sites, create playlists of their favorites and organize their collection.

I keep myself updated about the latest developments in web 2.0 technology. Uvouch.com
is a step ahead of others in the same field with extraordinary new features in adding and sharing video rolls.

The interface for users is very easy; they say that their search engine that scours the web, looking for the videos and websites desired. Uvouch.com's features include one-click video importing, one-click link importing, custom playlists, customizable tags, a user-driven search engine, message boards and tools to share your favorite videos and links directly from your personal website or blog.

A King and princess are waiting.

I am happy that medieval times’ charms are still treasured in modern times. Visitors to Disney World can enjoy a journey back to 11th century, where they will be greeted by a king and his daughter.

With a colored crown placed on their head, people can devour a four course meal accompanied by a competitive tournament culminating with a spectacular event.

Wait, there more such dinner activities that include Arabian Night adventure, Pirate’s Dinner adventure and a lot more entertainments are in store for the travelers to this wonderland.

But, these events involve a lot of expenditure and one can soon be stranded with thinning wallets. But not if you plan properly well in advance and purchase Discount Disney Tickets online from orlandofuntickets.com, the largest Ticket Discount Store in the State of Florida.

OrlandoFunTickets.com has discounted tickets to everything Disney has to offer including Disney Quest, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Water Parks, as well as every Disney theme park ticket that is available.

Not only that, but they are also licensed to offer discount vacation packages, member of Better Business Bureau and are definitely reliable.

The Troodos Mountains of Cyprus.

Cyprus- the island of Aphrodite is not so very popular among travelers but a haven for serenity lovers and I can call myself as one.

I was attracted by the information in a Cyprus Vacation Guide that one can ski on the snow tipped Troodos Mountains and the very same day swim in the warm waters of the Mediterranean sea.

As promised, this website is a tourist guide in the true sense with loads of useful information on getting there with cheap flights, hotels and resorts, what to see around, the food and drinks and of course the best time to visit etc.

There is an amusing activity that takes place on January 6th and the festival is called Epiphany. The children of this sun-drenched island love this religious festival as part of the celebrations is diving into the cold sea and retrieving the cross the Priests throw in to bless the sea.

Here is some unique food named Mezedhes. This comes in thirty or more little dishes which include stuffed vine leaves, cheeses (like haloumi and kaskavalli), calamari, spicy sausages such as loukanika and pastourma and keftedes (small meat balls) and kebabs.

Kaspersky Lab's Antivirus software.

I thought Norton antivirus is the best till I looked at Kaspersky Lab's Antivirus software.

Their website itself caught me off guard with their stunning appeal and easy navigation.

Being expert in providing computer security, they develop, produce and distribute information security solutions that protect us from IT threats such as viruses, hackers and spam.

Internet users who spend long time online and busy transacting all over the net, requires extra protection from malicious spyware and adware. None can ignore the importance of staying protected from viruses.

Kaspersky Lab is an international information security software vendor and is headquartered in Moscow, Russia and has regional offices in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Japan, China, Korea, Romania and the United States.

Most of the IT publications frequently write about Kaspersky Lab's products that are certified by West Coast Labs. In fact, it is interesting to note that in 2003, they received the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status for Security Solutions.

Their latest version 6.0 is even tested on Vista and now it is Vista ready.
