Valentine's Day Ideas

I have been searching the internet for inexpensive valentine's ideas... okay basically free...ideas to celebrate this occasion with my family. Here are some of the things I have found so far.

Heart Pancakes for Breakfast

Best Quick Pancakes (Martha Stewart)

2 T. melted butter
1 C. flour
2 t. baking powder
½ t. salt
2 T. sugar
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 C. milk

Heat griddle to 375 or medium heat. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in bowl. Add egg, milk, and 2 T. melted butter; whisk to combine. Cook.

If you don't have heart shapes for the pancakes why not put batter in a plastic bag... cut off the one corner and make heart shapes that way. You can make so many different fun shapes it is not funny. Your kids will love it. Don't forget you can always add blueberries or chocolate chips to your pancakes or any other fruit you choose.
