As many of you know, it has been POURING in Arkansas. I was late to work yesterday because there was a lot of flooding in Saline County. So guess what was featured on the news last night???? Several homes in our neighborhood that flooded. YES... houses down the street from us! I wasn't kidding when I said there was flooding.....
This is the 4th year this has happened in our neighborhood. The homes near the creek are ruined... one house is vacant - for good reason. We live on a bit higher ground so we don't have anything to worry about. This also makes us appreciate renting - can you imagine if you bought a home and it flooded like this? You have to not only replace the floors, but also the sheetrock. YUCK! And no, we do not live in a flood plain, so flood insurance is not available.
