Mother Nature Drops Snow Early

Winter is still a month away, but that didn’t stop Mother Nature from dropping snow on much of the Pacific Northwest this week.

Picture shows you snow-topped pumpkins, a lake dotted with ice-covered rocks, and a bus that skidded off the road due to black ice.

Winter officially begins December 21, when the sun is at its lowest point in the sky, also known as the Winter Solstice. But in spite of the early snowfall, most people seemed excited to welcome the colder weather as it ushers in the holiday season.
