Crock Pot Applesauce

You can buy applesauce in a jar. And recycle the jar! I do that all the time. But at least once or twice a year it's nice to have the house smell like a Yankee Candle. A smell you can eat!

Crock Pot Applesauce

10 large cooking apples -- peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar (or up to 1 cup) (substitutions fine)

Put apples and water into greased crock pot. Fill about 3/4 full. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours (high 3 to 4 hours). Puree with an immersion blender or in a food processor and add cinnamon and sugar to taste.
