Kent and I went to the car auction yesterday. So. Much. Fun.
The auction happens every Thursday and it consists of all the trade-ins from around the state. For example, if you trade your Honda in for a Toyota, the Toyota dealership will send that Honda to the auction because they don't sell Honda's. Then all the car dealers come to this auction and buy the kind of cars they want. This is where all the used-car dealers buy the cars on their lots. We went with a dealer we know and he will buy a car for us if we find one we like. Two years ago we got my Nissan Altima for $7,000 when it was retailing for $14,000. Pretty good deal, huh? That just goes to show how much of a mark up there is on cars.
There are literally thousands of cars! All makes, models and years.
When you see a car you like, you just hop in and drive it around. The keys are in all of the cars, you can test anything out. Whether you're serious about buying the car....
Or NOT:
I found this pretty Lexus SUV that I thought I looked REALLY good in! Until I saw what it would sell for....just a little out of my price range!
