There is a limit one can tolerate impoliteness and inadequate services. UCO bank today denied me a cheque book without any reason at first and shortage of cheque books later.
The person who talked to me at first was rude and said flatly, "No, I can't give you a cheque book". No reason was given and he immediately went about doing his work as if I was not even there. Such impoliteness can't be tolerated by anyone.
I have been an account holder in that bank since 1990. It is no way to treat a long standing customer. The entire residents of Korattur have been silently tolerating the inefficient services of this bank.
Sometimes, cheque books were not issued even for a month. When queried, a staff will always say, " No stock received from the head office".
Their printer will go out of order very frequently and you can't update your pass-book.
Today, the manager tried to pacify me saying that only one cheque book will be given to a person. Why we do customers request a cheque book? There is some purpose behind their request.
The staff is conveniently forgetting that the bank is run for customers only and they are getting paid by the account holders.
Other private and multi national banks will treat every customer as a VIP. Cheque books and demand drafts will be door delivered.
Oh, what a b(u)ank! These nationalized banks are still traveling in bullock cart. What the so called FII (foreign institutional investor) are seeing in India. Probably an opportunity to provide better service?
