Sydney Mint Museum

The Sydney Mint Museum is located on Macquarie Street, Sydney. It was built between 1811 and 1816 as the southern wing of the Sydney Hospital, then known as the Rum Hospital. A mint was established in 1854 on the site with this building used as a residence for the Deputy Mint Master and also used to house mint staff.

The lure of foreign university is waning?

It seems so because of the increasing number of online education institutions that announce their presence to the students’ world.

Students are also wise enough to recognize the several advantages of e-learning that reduces their expenses in travel, food, study materials and high tuition fees that are usually associated with conventional form of education.

The time flexibility is another major factor that weighs in favor of virtual learning.

Moreover, internet communication has many facilities like audio chatting, web cam and discussion boards that make interaction between students and tutors very easy.

Speaking of online universities, I thought I can mention here about Capella University that offers graduate and post graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, and psychology; in all 76 graduate and undergraduate specializations and 16 certificate specializations.

16,000 students from all 50 states and 63 countries are at present enrolled with Capella.

The cheerful news to international students is that, it is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Would you listen to a former presidential candidate?

If you visit the website of Monex Deposit Company (MDC), you will have the privilege of listening to some of top financial experts including a former presidential candidate, through video clips on many wealth protection and profit potential benefits of owning gold and other precious metals.

I do not think there will ever be a difference of opinion on the value of precious metals as our most treasured assets.

Smart people continue to amass their gold reserve because they know for certain that it is the only answer to protect themselves against the fiat currencies.

For those who always expect the best return on investment (ROI), buying gold coins has become a habit. For them, whatever happens to their other investments like shares and debentures due to conditions beyond their control, they will still sleep soundly with the comforting knowledge of their gold assets sitting safely in lockers.

For over 30 years, the Monex companies have been America's gold and precious metals investment leader. We can buy with confidence gold, silver, platinum and palladium from them either as coins or ingots.

Hyde Park, Archibald Fountain

The Archibald Fountain, located in Hyde Park, was constructed in granite and bronze. It depicts Apollo surrounded by other mythological characters of ancient Greece. It is named after J.F. Archibald, owner and editor of The Bulletin, a newspaper which later became a magazine that encouraged writers to write about Australia. He bequeathed funds to build the fountain to commemorate the association of Australia and France in World War I. It was designed by French artist Francois Sicard and was unveiled on 14 March 1932.

Thank you

Thank you for your comments on Sydney - City and Suburbs. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can anyone challenge a federal court?

Yes, you can if you have the courage and determination of simmons jannace & stagg.

As a work at home mom, I have a soft corner for women who are easily victimized.
I am happy to report the fight for justice by one such woman in the U.S.

When an attorney sought $2,000,000 as a contingency fee, after representing a 9/11 victim on the distribution of Victims Compensation Fund, he filed suit in federal court seeking a declaratory judgment entitling him to his fee.

Simmons, Jannace & Stagg moved to dismiss the federal action, arguing that the Victims Compensation Fund did not provide federal jurisdiction for an action by an attorney seeking to protect his fee.

The federal court, after hearing argument, agreed that the Victims Compensation Fund did not provide federal court jurisdiction.

The contestant, a woman who lost her husband in 9/11 attack was greatly relieved when the court stayed the attorney’s action.

This is the first federal court decision holding that attorneys’ fee disputes arising out of the September 11th Victims Compensation Fund.

We must praise the principled stand of Simmons, Jannace & Stagg.

And this company is supposed to protect.

Ed Magedson, the owner of RipOffReport.com may probably be used by his victims.

When they took up the responsibility of protecting the consumers’ interest against getting ripped off by companies, their intentions were welcome.

But things turned sour when Rip-Off Report failed to check out the legitimacy of consumers’ complaints.

Ripoffreport.com is a worldwide consumer reporting Website & Publication, by consumers, for consumers, to file & document complaints about companies or individuals who ripoff consumers.

Several allegations surfaced against them when they started creating fake complaints about companies for the purpose of extortion. The Rip Off Report uses the ranking power of their website to rank for companies names and use those rankings to extort money.

Usweb.com is now willing to defend the victims who are affected by this bad publicity. They have successfully worked with one company already to push the Rip Off Report ranking back into Google and remove it from the top rankings that are unfairly hurting companies.

The affected companies can now approach usweb.com and avail their services to have the bad report removed from search engines for a small fee.

Must you go to California to taste the California Wine?

Frankly speaking, I do not know the answer.

But I can find out and share the knowledge if I decide to go to California Wine Country, which is one of the attractive destinations of Pacific Northwest Vacations, that belongs to Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc.

They offer over 18,000 fully furnished, condominium-style units spread over 140 resort properties throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and the South Pacific.

Their holiday destinations are romantic places like Angel’s Camp California, Lake Tahoe, Reno Packages, San Francisco Vacations, Seaside Oregon and California Wine Country.

I think I must make a note to visit Ledgewood Creek near Napa, Santa Barbara County, Paso Robles and Sonoma Count, which are famous for wine manufacturing.

At prices starting at $79, I can’t afford not to take advantage of these great vacation packages offered by TrendWest Getaways Vacation Packages.

I need not worry about finding accommodation, since their vacation package is inclusive of that plus there will be few other added goodies too.

I better book now to save up to 70%.
