Today I got home and felt like laying on the couch and eating brownies. Instead, I put on my running shoes and literally forced myself out the door. I had the best run - 4.5 miles in 41 minutes. And I felt wonderful afterwards. It's almost weird how quickly exercise can change how you feel - physically and emotionally.

Ice, Ice Baby
Last week I decided to change things up and went out to run sprints on the high school track. Big mistake. My body, specifically my shins, revolted against me. So I didn't do a long run this weekend and have been resting my legs in hopes that my shin splints will disappear before my half-marathon this weekend.
