10/10/10

I don't have anything profound to write about today being 10/10/10, I just wanted to use it as my title. Cool, huh?

I'm redecorating my entry table... Actually I'm redecorating lots of areas around my house. Out with the summer stuff and in with the fall/winter decor, not really goblins or Christmas trees. More like goodbye linen slipcovers and hello wooden candlesticks and other deeper toned accents.

I'm not sure if I ever blogged about this "table" but it was the bottom part to the worlds most hideous buffet. Meaning I got it for F-R-E-E. I threw away the top hutch part (it was completely worthless, promise) and took the doors off to made bookshelves. Then I painted it with leftover Glidden's Spanish Olive from when I painted my kitchen. Of course I sanded it and antiqued it with a Valspar glaze. Bea-u-ti-ful!

Anyway.... I need help with what looks "right". The clock isn't going anywhere, so don't suggest I get rid of it. And neither are the books or quilts. Oh, and neither is this cute horse:

1. First try:

2. And enters the globe:

3. No candlesticks?

4. Little pumpkin action:

5. Globe on top of upside-down box?

6. Less is better?

Confused yet? Me too....

P.S. Is there a number rule on how many candlesticks you are supposed to clump together? Is it an odd number rule like hanging pictures and groups of things on the wall? Maybe it doesn't matter.
