Wordy Wednesday

  • My mom had another infusion of Rituxan yesterday at Baptist in Little Rock. It went well. (This is supposed to re-set her white blood cells - the doctor said it is like re-starting a computer, except it's your body.)
  • Yesterday I got to have lunch with my Dad in Little Rock, that is a rare occurance, and I loved it.
  • Praise the Lord above that Sunday the low in Dallas is 51 degrees and the high is 65. I was seriously dreading running in really cold weather.
  • Ahhh! I have to run 13.1 miles on Sunday. I'm not looking for a personal record here, just a good finish.
  • The White Rock Half Marathon doesn't even go around White Rock Lake! I feel like I'm getting jipped.
  • I really want a different blog header because the one I have is so huge, but I can't figure out how to crop it without making our faces super stretched out.
  • I've gotten almost all my Christmas cards mailed out. If you didn't get one...well, I probably don't have your address. It's a good card too. :)
  • My alarm didn't go off this morning (for real) and I missed my workout class. It's strange how that can put a kink in your day. Guess I will have to go to the gym tonight with everyone else that just got off work. I hate that. It's worse than rush hour traffic. Everyone makes a mad dash for the treadmill or the ad machine, etc.
And for the world's easiest recipe EVER:
Take one whole chicken without the giblets ($4):

Add some red potatoes, rub with Morton Nature's Seasoning inside & out, drop 2 chicken bullion cubes in and cook while your at work (6 to 8 hours for those of you who don't "work").

Then you come home and your husband loves you for cooking him meat and potatoes. Make yourself a salad... because you know it's just for you (he won't eat it).

Yeah for easy meals. Clean out the crockpot immediatley. Put the extra meat in a container for leftovers (makes FABULOUS chicken noodle soup). Don't put the bones down the garbage disposal (yes I did this and yes I broke it).
The meat pratcially falls off the bone since it has been cooking for so long. I normally choose beef over chicken, but this is pretty yummy!
