This cafe, deli and dessert shop is located on Darling Street, in the inner west suburb of Balmain. The old awning and balcony, which were characteristic features of many shopfronts in this suburb, were retained when this building was restored in 2000, when it then opened as a bakery cafe.

Sydney Harbour Bridge, Greenhouse

'Greenhouse by Joost' was a temporary eco-friendly cafe with spectacular views installed on the shore at Campbells Cove in The Rocks. The building was created by artist Joost Bakker and built using recycled materials. Three old shipping containers made up one of the walls and were decorated with a mural featuring butterflies and children playing. This view is from the Overseas Passenger Terminal towards the Harbour Bridge. The cafe closed this week after eight successful weeks and since it was quite popular there are plans to rebuild it in a permanent location. Campbells Cove, Greenhouse

'Greenhouse by Joost' is a temporary eco-friendly cafe with spectacular views, currently located at Campbells Cove in The Rocks. The building was created by artist Joost Bakker and built using recycled materials with an external wall covered in pot plants. Ingredients are grown on the rooftop garden, water is collected on site, waste is recycled and the generator runs on cooking oil.

Millers Point, ablutions block

This heritage sandstone building located on the corner of Towns Place and Hickson Road at Millers Point houses a cafe. Back in the 1850s and 1860s this area around Walsh Bay was the site of Captain Robert Towns’s whaling and trading empire. This building was used as an ablutions block, where wharf labourers could clean up after their day's work.
