Want a job in the insurance industry?

The property owner of my office is an insurance development officer. He was looking to hire insurance agents for his new branch in another city. He asked me if I could refer anyone.

I assured him that I would get him as many candidates as possible. I told him to post his requirements in an Insurance job search portal. It is a huge site where job seekers in the insurance industry can search for insurance jobs in all the cities worldwide.

Posting resumes is free for all and if job seekers wanted quicker results, they get their resume distributed to all the prospective employers for a fee.

Of late, insurance industry has brought out attractive money savings projects and there is a constant need for insurance agents and back-office clerks. The insurance industry offers wide scopes for product developers and marketing executives.

Dynamic persons are paid a king’s ransom.

I am ashamed!

How else can I feel when I said I don’t know about beyond.com in spite of being a web entrepreneur since 1998? How I could have missed such a large job search site, probably much larger than any other jobs and career search engine however popular they may be?

The question “Do you know beyond.com is the biggest job search portal in the web?” was openly asked by a participant in a bloggers’ meet.

When I checked it out, I was simply dumbfounded. It is as they claim-the world’s largest niche career opportunities. The niches are categorized into hundreds of channels for quick search.

Browse the niche networks by location as well as by the industry.
Some of the niche job categories:
Sales
Communication
Customer service
Healthcare
Construction

For the benefit of prospective employers, they can search the resume database.

I could go on and on about the site and still I may miss a few features. Please take time to visit this biggest niche job search site now and share your findings with your friends.

Easy online resume builder.

It is heartening note my students using the Internet more productively than just playing games online or engage in useless chatting and gossiping.

One of my students studying in 10th standard showed a resume of her sister that she built online using JobSpice.

The resume was built with more useful information than any other resume built using online resume builders. The format was uncluttered and the style was sophisticated.

Composing your resume with Job Spice must be easy since you only choose the fields that you want to include. After building your resume, you can convert it into a PDF doc and get it printed.

Part time clerical jobs in Philadelpia.

What a learning experience for me exploring jobs philadelphia, a complete portal for several kinds of jobs those are available in Philadelphia and New Jersey!

My duties as an academician don’t just stop at imparting mathematics to high school students. I take it my responsibility to help them find the best courses for higher studies.

Many of my students remember me even after 4 or 5 years of higher studies and approach me again to help them locate the best jobs. This has not only given me immense pleasure of helping but also has given me lots of opportunities to learn to search for jobs for candidates with different qualifications.

I was amazed to know about the abundance of job opportunities in Philadelphia. Though, more openings are open in the sales industry, there are a few opportunities for writers and office assistants.

Hmmm... May be I should think of starting a job consultancy service.

Exciting job opportunities at Fourth Estate.

“Mom, look at this email; I am now Karan Makhija’s friend”-my son was excited and looked sincerely elated. He was referring to the email from Facebook.

I stared blank. I didn’t know Karan Makhija. “How can you expect a mathematics teacher to know about movie celebrities, son”-I defended my ignorance.

I decided to share in my son’s delight and somehow pretended that he too is now a celebrity. At the same time I was concerned; how can people take these digital contacts with famous personalities seriously?

My son’s girl friend was by his side when he reported the news to me. She was a budding media professional and already started making it up the ladder. She told me that she will be meeting Karan Makhija on 25th July at “The Media and Entertainment industry conference” to be held at Chelmsford Club, Krishi Bhawan, Raisina Road, New Delhi H.O.Delhi 110001.

The Fourth Estate (the name of the conference) is organized by 9.9 School of Convergence.

The conference will address at the youth who are looking for a prospective career in the entertainment and media industry.

“Oh, dear, the Media & Entertainment Jobs, does it still lure technicians and creative persons in spite of the industry not doing very well in the past 3 years”?-I asked my the young graphics wiz girl.

Unlike my son, she understood my ignorance and assured me that the job opportunities in the entertainment industry will always entice people with burning creativity in them.

She told that the “Fourth Estate” conference is an important event in India and is going to attract a lot of job seekers in the Media and entertainment industry.

Big hopes for IT professionals.

Gloomy and bleak atmosphere certainly left behind a toll on thousands of IT professionals. But there are still hopes for them. Nothing in this world is permanent. Life is a cycle; it will keep moving forward only.

Some of my husband’s words brought back color on the faces of a few IT graduates who came to attend a pep talk given by my husband. They all came looking to explore the possibilities of earning online through blogging.

They are all very young and fresh graduates. My husband gave them plenty of hopes by directing them first to find out their strength. He informed them jobs in IT field have not dried out yet completely.

Tecgcareers.com has a lot to offer for IT professionals. This online IT job portal is big with resources and information.

Job seekers can create their online profile and make them available to prospective employers. Employers also post their employees requirements in Techcareers.com

IT job seekers can search jobs by location and by keywords too.

My husband learnt that many IT professionals and IT companies are not yet aware of techcareers.com Please spread the word and help the sagging morale of IT graduates.

Nokia’s Mobile Applications Developers Conference.

The annual parents meeting went off smoothly yesterday. There were usual questions about higher education after the impending academic year. Since I keep myself updated mainly about the prospects in IT industry, I was able to offer useful counseling.

I remembered about the forthcoming Bangalore Conference of Nokia which aims to create a big platform for the aspiring mobile application developers. I know a few of my ex-students who have taken up a career as mobile application developers and their feedback spoke of big scope in the industry.

When I embarked on this topic, I noticed restlessness among the crowd. When prodded further, I was able to realize that there is a widespread belief that developing application for mobile phone is very difficult.

I appeased them of their unreasonable fear by telling them how applications for mobile web have immense future as there is a growing tendency to go mobile among the Internet marketers.

This Nokia conference to be held in Bangalore will facilitate one to one interaction with industry experts who will also elaborate on the latest developments in the mobile industry and the future trends.

More active participation in the Nokia conference is encouraged by announcing gifts for innovative mobile applications.

For full information about Nokia Mobile Applications Developers Conference and the various sessions that include Mobile Technology Evolution, Technology Showcase and Developer Evangelization, please visit the links above.

Fashion Schools in the U.S.

The transformation was complete. I could not take my eyes off the bride. And the proud costume designer was all humility. She looked so young.

The wedding reception was hall was crowded with guests and I identified quite a few VIPs that included a famous woman entrepreneur, two film directors and a number of film stars. The bride was my ex student and she was getting married to a software engineer working in Los Angeles.

The bride finally introduced the costume designer to the guests. The immediately became the star of attraction. She is a graduate from a leading fashion school in the U.S.

Though she is running a high profile fashion designing studio, she came to help her bride friend as the occasion demanded her skill.

The designer gave a brief introduction to fashion-schools.org, how it helped her to join the best fashion school and how the school has turned her into a pro. She narrated with fond memories about her education and training at the International Academy of Design and Technology, Detroit.

I think she has inspired quite a few youth at the wedding reception.

Growing opportunities for trained beauticians.

Coming out of the beauty schools in illinois empty handed is almost unheard of. Graduates trained by the Regency Beauty Institute are usually grabbed by leading beauty salons, five star hotels, and film producing companies as hairstylists, manicurists, makeup artists, waxing specialists, hair color specialists, and skin care specialists.

Regency is the fastest growing beauty school in the country. Regency has expanded from two Minnesota schools in 2002 to almost 30 campuses across nine states, with continued growth underway for next year.

With such an expansion, they are sending out more number of beauticians and several of them set up their own beauty parlors. Even during their training at Regency Beauty School, students provide high-quality, discounted salon services to the public under expert faculty supervision.

For more information, visit regencybeauty.com and contact Kim Radetzki-Brosdahl
Vice President, Marketing.

Earn up to $4000 per month.

Here are some headlines like the above:
Earn $200 per day as a home typist.
Work as an online clerk and we pay you $35 per hour.

I am sure you have seen such ads in your email especially if you have subscribed to Go Freelance, a New York based company that is in the business of providing income opportunities to all provided if they are a paid member of it.

They say they connect freelancer to the employers. I remember once one of my close friend narrate his bad experience with these type of match makers. GoFreelance.com seems to offer jobs as a proof reader, freelance writer, freelance programmers and graphic designers.

I wonder whether all their promises are true and if outsiders of America also get freelance opportunities through Gofreelance.com

Any feedback?

A.E. Feldman is a global choice.

The last Sunday news paper did not kindle any interest in me. It was overloaded with crime, crime and nothing but crime news. Stories about weak American economy and its negative impact on other world markets predicted more gloom and no cheer.

So, I just casually opened the ‘Classifieds’ supplementary news paper and browsed through ‘Wanted’ ads without any real purpose. I saw a few Job Placement ads that won’t encourage anyone to approach them. I don’t think they have any good record that can speak for them.

I remember reading a web release of A.E. Feldman Associates some months ago. They are the top notch recruiting company in the U.S. Since 1967, they have maintained a high standard of service.

I would like to quote here from the web release:

“Our reputation, discretion and consistent record of successful placements have helped us build strong and trusted relationships with industry-leading clients and top-quality candidates… to the benefit of both sides of the employment equation.”

Now I am able to remember why that particular piece remained in my memory. The word ‘discretion’-I wonder how many placement organizations are discreet in their dealings. When I read that sentence in the web release, I know they meant it, otherwise, it would not have been said at all.

Their specialization in getting risk management jobs in multinational banks and various other financial corporations attracts suitable candidates from all over the world.

They fill positions nationally from middle to executive to top “C level” management.

Find jobs in London.

It is my humble suggestion for all of you. If you are about to move to new place due career change, retirement or for education, always do a little bit of research in the cyberspace to dig out a handful of websites that give you plenty of information about the place you are moving to.

Ok, let me make this post short and sweet. In one single website, you get to know about the available jobs, real estate, companionship, used goods for sale and many different service providers. The website is Gumtree.

Let us say that someone you know is moving to Edinburgh, Scotland along with his entire family. You can help him out by asking him to make a note of this web page where jobs in Edinburgh are listed.

Six months back, I emailed a friend of mine the right website where he can look for a teaching job in Edinburgh. When my friend emailed me back that I can also help him find out a teaching job in Aberdeen, I was able to reply immediately with the required information.

Gumtree offers this huge store house of information for several cities across the world that includes Australia, U.K. New Zealand, South Africa and the U.S.

Job openings in Europe.

I think this is a blessing in disguise. There was a power failure for about two hours yesterday.
This stopped my blogging task and I was getting edgy because I had to complete a couple of blog posts in a few hours.

To while away the time, I used my laptop that had about 20 minutes of battery time. Aimlessly browsing on job related websites, I came upon Considerati, that lists all the technical job openings in Europe.

Yes, know I am not eligible to apply for any post because I am a nontechie. I write this blog post for the benefit of you dear reader.

I read several lucrative offers. Grab one if you are up to it, else, please pass it on.
