Best of Resort 2012 | Salvatore Ferragamo

The designer Massimiliano Giornetti, brought Glamour and elegance to Ferragamo's Resort 2012 collection.
The clothes looked sinuously draped floor-length gowns, tiers of fringe, wide-legged trousers, and long blazers. Giornetti upgraded marinière stripes, a resort staple, knitting them into white and gold cashmere sweater tops. Yards upon yards of silk, bagfuls of crystal and sequins, and vintage Fred Leighton fine jewels matched the surroundings in screen siren luxe. This collection is sooo elegant, but casual in the same time. Love it! <3

Salvatore Ferragamo | Menswear Fall 2011

Milan, 16 January 2011

Massimiliano Giornetti opened with neutral creams and winter whites at Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2011 collection. I usually don’t watch menswear, but starting with Ferragamos’s collection I loved the suits in full tone-on-tone looks, and fascinating penny-bright copper, dark green, and oceanic teal looks amazing. The designer’s inspiration was the seventies: the slightly boot-cut three-piece suits, acres of lapel, and all the suede.  Just amazing!

Salvatore Ferragamo | resort 2011

Resort is Massimiliano Giornetti's second women's collection for Salvatore Ferragamo. It's still early days, but it's safe to say that the label is in turnaround. The designer's formula: to return the brand to its classy, elegant roots, while nodding ever so slightly in the direction of current trends. "My inspiration was drawn from the modern Ferragamo woman on holiday, a seventies vibe mixed with the luxury expected of a jet-setter," Giornetti told us.
