St Vincent's Hospital is a public hospital on Victoria Street, in the inner city suburb of Darlinghurst. The hospital was originally established in 1857 by five Irish Sisters of Charity, who had migrated to Sydney with a mission to help the poor and disadvantaged. This main building was designed by Wardell and Denning and built in 1921, in the Inter-War Free Classical style. The facade features verandas, integrated into free classical colonnades.
