Dry Erase Boards!

This weekend my mom and I made the cutest dry erase boards.  Wouldn't you want to have a dry erase board that looks like this:

Rather than dry erase board that looks like this...

The question should be obvious. Here is how you make it. Start with an old picture that has the glass enact. I found this picture at a thrift store, it is 41x23 inches.

Remove the glass and paint the frame.

Cut the burlap.

Cover the back with heavy construction type paper to hide the back and make the board look like it was made by a professional.

Final product! I have these for sale in black or white frames and in many sizes. If you want one, let me know what size and color may fit your space and I can email you a couple options of these fun message boards.

The most amazing thing was that my shellac manicure made it through this project without a scratch or chip!

Oh Monday

It is Monday morning and we are back to work! I don't know why I put an exclamation mark there, because there is nothing exciting about Mondays.... nothing!!!!! This weekend several things happened:
1.) The Hogs won - shocker!
2.) I had a great weekend at my booth, almost all of my furniture sold!
3.) My brother Clark was in the hospital for 3 days with a huge stomach ulcer. He lost so much blood by throwing it up... gross, I know. He had to have four blood transfusions and is now back at home. The ulcer in the stomach is very close to the opening of his intestines. So as the ulcer heals it is very important that it does not cover that opening. If so, he will have to have surgery. Please pray that he would recover quickly.

My New Booth!

I love to decorate, but mostly I love to buy REALLY CHEAP things and make them great! Here are several pictures of my booth at Blue Suede Shoes Antique Mall in Bryant on I-30. I always try to put things in the booth that I like, just in case an item does not sell. These pictures are mostly for my mom, who wishes she could go-in with me to sell things at this booth!Disclaimer: If you gave me something and you see it in there....so sorry!
