invisalign® teen

Back in April, Dr. Scanlan blogged about Invisalign®. As a review, Invisalign® is a series of removable, clear retainers designed to gradually move your teeth.
So, why are we bringing it up again?...
Now, Invisalign® has developed a program specifically designed for teens! Whether you had braces as a child or are planning on getting braces for the first time, Invisalign® teen may just be for you!
Because the Invisalign® retainers are clear, you won’t have to worry about having wires or brackets on your teeth for school pictures, sports or prom! The aligners are removable so you can take them out while you eat your favorite foods!
Invisalign® is not for everyone but when you come in for your complementary consultation with Dr. Scanlan, he will be able to discuss all of the different treatment options with you.

Call us today to schedule your complementary consultation! We look forward to hearing from you!

Braces got you down?

Those of us who had braces as kids or as adults realize the benefits of improving our smiles and achieving a health bite by having orthodontic treatment.
...But how about those of us who have not had braces yet.........?
What's the hold-up?

Of course there are financial concerns, but often its the time commitment required and the hassle of wearing braces. I realize this and have dedicated hours and hours to devising treatments that are tailored to your needs.

Invisalign provides a clear choice for an alternative to wearing braces, here is the problem... Invisalign has its limitations which are well documented in the literature and my clinical experience. A recent study in the American Journal of Orthodontics found that Invisalign only achieves its predicted goals 40% of the time. So why would anyone choose such a treatment? For some, Invisalign is a perfect alternative to braces, but for others, Invisalign simply will not get the job done.

Why...?

The reason that most Invisalign cases yield less than optimal results are that certain tooth movements cannot be accomplished with Invisalign Aligners.

How do we give you exactly what you want?

In some instances, we are moving the teeth that invisalign has difficultly moving by using conventional braces, usually on the back teeth. In other instances Invisalign can begin right away moving your teeth into alignment leaving only a short period of time wearing braces. Invisalign can deliver a great result all the time with the help of selective use of braces.

My Team and I are always thinking of ways to make your orthodontic journey as comfortable as possible. Follow us on Twitter, Blogger and Facebook to stay connected with all the newly emerging technologies available to you.

Hear about Invisalign and Suresmile from Doctor Scanlan

Invisalign is a precise method of aligning your teeth without the use of wires or brackets.

Once I diagnose your orthodontic condition I will give you a treatment plan. This plan will address your concerns, not just the orthodontic problem. Sometimes those concerns the fear of having to wear braces for an extended period of time. Invisalign offers an alternative to wearing traditional braces; something that you should consider whether you are 8 or 80 years old.

It is not always the case that Invisalign is right for you, but in most cases your time in braces can be dramatically reduced with the use of Invisalign for at least a portion of your orthodontic journey. Being innovative is something that we pride ourselves on at TS Orthodontics. By joining technology like Invisalign and Suresmile we can make your time in orthodontic treatment as enjoyable as possible and providing a result that will leave you smiling for a lifetime.

In my next blog, I will give an in depth description of how Invisalign works here at TS Orthodontics.

Sincerely,

Dr. Scanlan
