Burberry launches Burberry Body, the brand new fragrance for women today. Seductive, sensual, elegant, timeless, iconic, memorable, Burberry Body is the Burberry world translated into a scent:

"We have been working on this for a few years now. Burberry Body for us is so much more than a fragrance; it is one of the biggest launches we have ever done, one that captures all the modernity and heritage of this British brand today, reflecting all the facets that make up the Burberry world." - Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer

Burberry Body is a feminine and effortlessly sensual fragrance with an eclectic combination of refined ingredients: top notes of fresh green absinthe, illuminating elegant peach and refined freesia; the floral bouquet of natural rose absolute and iris blends gently with subtle warm tones of sandalwood to form the heart notes, while the base is composed of woody cashmeran, creamy vanilla, sensual amber and musk. "The fragrance is very British and is the most sensual and feminine fragrance we have ever worked on. It’s sophisticated, it’s modern and it’s delicate. We wanted it to be light and feminine but also distinctive - something that appeals to women regardless of their age, it's more of an attitude." - Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer

The scent comes in a multi-faceted, iconic glass bottle with rose gold engraved check: "I often describe Burberry as a multi-faceted diamond and so it seemed completely natural that a fragrance that represents all of the different moods, attitudes and expressions of the brand is packaged in a jewel-like shape. The colours reflect the sensual and emotive nature of the scent. I wanted the bottle to be desirable as an object, not only because of the scent. I am always inspired by architecture and I wanted to translate the sensuality of the fragrance using these gentle rose gold and nude filters into something iconic and distinctive." - Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer

The ad campaign is fronted by British actress and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who wears only a rose gold satin trench coat and the scent. The campaign was shot in London by photographer Mario Testino under the creative direction of Christopher Bailey: "We worked with Mario Testino on a beautiful multi-faceted and sensual campaign, expressing the different attitudes of the Burberry Body. The trench coat embodies the iconic qualities of the fragrance as well as the spirit and attitude of the Burberry girl.

"Rosie is this beautiful, sensual English rose and perfectly captures the spirit of Burberry. She has this perfect balance of sensuality and confidence with humility. Burberry is part of her history and it felt perfectly natural for her to be our first Burberry Body." - Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer

Shopping News | Smelling like "Rihanna's fleur"

As the on-counter date for Rihanna’s first fragrance, Reb’l Fleur, draws near, more details are emerging. The fruity floral—dispensed from a stiletto-inspired flacon—is apparently meant to say, “Rihanna was here”. There will also be a 30-second “hip, edgy” viral video to further promote the perfume. The new (well, continuing) reality star attention grab? A new dye job. Khloe Kardashian, who is breaking away from the fam this year to star in her own show with husband Lamar Odom, is going even more red than the auburn she was spotted with at the People’s Choice Awards this week, while Lauren Conrad, formerly of The Hills, has embraced golden brunette. The 14th Annual “Famed Hottest Looks” survey results have just been distributed, revealing the celebrity body parts most requested from plastic surgeons in 2010. Among the, um, winners are Gisele Bündchen (”Most Desired Female Body”), Taylor Swift (”Most Desired Hair”), and Natalie Portman (”Most Desired Nose”). And with the upset is Scarlett Johansson, beating out Angelina Jolie for “Most Requested Lips.” [Fox News]
