.:. Chic & Skii | Where Cosyness Meets Chicness .:.

The previous post, was dedicated to Aerin Lauder’s home in New York, now let’s take a look to Ms. Lauder’s ski house in Aspen.
After seeing Aerin Lauder's home in the snowy mountains, I might just have to book a trip out to the Alps. Usually weekend ski houses seem to follow - a more is more theme of plaid, plaid and plaid which is a classic look but I am liking the cleaner lined pared down aesthetic of this house.  Interior designer Daniel Romualdez helped out with the decor which features a lot of wood that references the trees outside.  Looks like the perfect place to warm up after a day on the slopes. Speaking of, I wonder how big the bunny slope is in Aspen.

Nothing hold me up when I descovered, Aerin Lauder's beautiful holiday decorated East Hampton home from the old House & Garden on Vogue.com.  It's also been seen in Elle Decor but with any family house it has evolved and changed over the years.  It looks like the living room has been repainted from a burnt orange to a deep blue charcoal grey.  The sofa seems to have been moved from against the wall to the middle of the room. Slipcovers may have been changed and artwork moved around but it's still just as chic.
Just like Ms. Lauder herself.

//: Will and Jada Pinkett Smith showed off their Malibu home for the upcoming issue of Architectural Digest.

“Everything needed to be done by hand,” Will said about the 25,000-square-foot home. “We wanted to feel the love and labor that went into every piece of this place."

“For Will and me this home was always a spiritual endeavor,” Jada says. “We’re very earthy, organic people. We wanted to create a family retreat, something made by hand and as natural as possible, something that ties back to the land.”

At home @ Nicky Hilton

Remember the paparazzi’s following Nicky Hilton’s style some years ago, for me now it seem like forever. Thanking the Coveteur for reminding us again about  her style, I want to share with all of you some amazing shots, from her closet and some pictures from her favorite pieces at home.  She was collecting rocking Balenciaga Motorcycle bags in every color of the rainbow at 16 years old – this brings me to believe that we all knew that this girl had something special. Besides being one of the most gracious and kindest Hilton daughters, this elegant and eloquent entrepreneur’s got one hell of a closet. And that’s an understatement. “My weakness is shoes,” says Hilton, while browsing through her pumps, wedges, flats, peep-toes and booties.  And though her kicks are perfectly organized by designer, she’s nothing short of a loyalist: Christian Louboutin and Alaïa top her list. See the wonderful pix below!

Nicky's weakness are def shoes. She organize them by designer. Her favorites are Christian Louboutin and Alaïa.
She loves Hello Kitty. Here Kitty is wearing Nicky's Marc Jacobs shoes and Cavalli cape.

This Hermès cuff was given to Nicky by her boyfriend for her birthday. He engraved it with her birth date and a sweet message. The Chanel bag is so teeny that it's sort of impractical but she couldn't resist.
Nicky loves the collaboration Tokidoki did with Karl Lagerfeld! Here he is sitting on her lamp adorned in some of my Chanel accessories. I love the limited edition necklace she got in the Las Vegas boutique.
She bought this Dolce coat when she was in Milan a few years ago for fashion week. It's subtle with sparkly accents. The Louboutins she needed to have. She is a sucker for anything with studs.

Nicky saw Sarah Jessica Parker wearing this clutch at the height of Sex & the City-mania and she knew she had to have it. Such a pretty clutch with a personal touch.

Nicky's jewelry collection is very deco inspired. She loves all things of that era.  In this pic: Shoes, Christian Dior; Jewelry, Nicky Hilton.
When she finds something she likes, she tends to buy it in all colors, shapes and sizes. All, Balmain
She bought this Versace dress at the Las Vegas boutique right after the Beyoncé video came out. She had an event that night and that dress is undeniably hot! In this pic: Dresses, Versace; Shoes, Yves Saint Laurent
She've been wearing Balenciaga bags since she was 16. So naturally she picked up many colors and variations along the way. Perfect go-to purse. The Alexander McQueen scarves are an easy, fun accessory to any outfit. In this pic: Bags, Balenciaga; Scarves, Alexander McQueen
Nicky says: "Meeting Obama was very neat. Such a cool, eloquent, personal man. I feel prouder to be American than ever right now. Go USA!" In this pic: Top, Catherine Malandrino; Skirt, Patricia Field; Shoes, Christian Louboutin; Bag, Chanel
Nicky and her boyfriend  did this shoot for L'uomo Vogue. They are both in Dior Homme. The photographer wanted her to look like the dominating male.
Coat, Christian Dior; Dress, Louis Vuitton.
Nicky says: "No one makes sexier (and more expensive may I add!) shoes than Alaïa." Top, Chloé; Shoes, Alaïa; Bag, Yves Saint Laurent; Necklace, Chanel.
"I love ice cream. It's sweet and innocent." - Nicky adds. "My friend Onch Movement designed the single scoop ice cream necklace. Very Katy Perry!" Top and Shoes, Chanel; Necklace, Onch Movement
"After months of searching and being on waiting lists I finally stumbled on this Kelly bag in St. Barts during Christmas a few years back. I guess someone had ordered it and didn't pick it up so it was mine. You snooze you loose!" - Nicky says.
What more I can say?? - Lucky you Nicky for being a Hiltons daughter!!! :)))
