I took Captain Jack for a quick walk this morning. He is looking a little pudgy. I dropped him back off at the house and went on a run. I felt so good this morning I ended up doing 4 miles.


I have meant to blog about the devotional I've been doing this year... Last Christmas my namesake, Marietta Johnson, who lives in Dallas sent me "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young. Around New Years I picked it up and read the intro and I immediately became interested. Sarah is/was a missionary and spent years journaling through her quiet times. The result is this awesome devotional where she takes scripture to make it like God is speaking directly to you. Most devotionals are about how we (the reader) can change to become more Christlike. This devotional is literally God speaking to you and it is so powerful!
