Waverton, railway station

Waverton Railway Station has one of the last surviving timber railway entrances, following upgrades of many railway stations around Sydney in recent years. When the North Shore railway line was extended south from St Leonards to Milsons Point in 1893, this station was known as Bay Road. The station was renamed in 1929 when the suburb took its name from the Waverton Estate in this area.
