Over 6 years ago one of my the most incredible little girls came into my life. She would change my life forever. She would teach me to not take anything for granted because she was going to have to work twice as hard to attain things in her life. She would teach my to love unconditionally with all my heart. She would bring new and wonderful people into my life who knew what is was like to have adopted a child with FASD. Even though none of our children were a like as the alcohol effects our children in different ways we shared so many things in common. We all love our children more than you can know and we all want the best for our children. We want to educate the world on FASD so more children don't have to suffer and we want to teach others how to deal with our FASD child for they are truly special in so many ways. To learn more about FASD and what it is and what my daughter lives with every day of her life please watch the video below.
If you have met me and my family some of you might not even realize what our precious "Miss Mew" has and has to deal with every day of her life. Choices that were made before she was born will impact her life every day. We are choosing to rise about it. We are choosing to deal with it and help her in any way she can so that she can be a productive member of society. FASD awareness day is coming on September 9th of every year is national FASD Awareness day. Please if you are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant do not drink. The risk is not worth it. Your child deserves so much more.
If you did drink while you were pregnant and you are seeing things in your child that could be FASD please admit what you have done and seek out the proper treatment for your child to give them a brighter future to give them a chance.
Much Love!
