Weekend

I sold ALL my furniture and had it all picked up this weekend. Literally, everything. Our house is empty. So with CASH in hand I marched into Hank's and talked the sales guy down to $100 off each couch and no sales tax - I'm sure they still made a bunch of money off of me... but at least I don't owe anything....
We bought TWO couches (they will face each other & 'frame' the fireplace). They are 100 inches long and very deep. Kent picked out the size and "comfortableness". I picked out the color and material.

We also bought two leather chairs. Actually they are recliners - but can you tell? They are very compact. And I was overjoyed to sell that Lazy Boy recliner - YUCK!

After furniture shopping, Gail (mother-in-law) and I ate at Cafe 1217 in Hot Springs. It was featured in Southern Living and if you ever get a chance to try it, you should - it is so unique and yummy! Then she helped me pick out the material to make my upholstered headboard. I'm really excited to get that done. And finally we saw the Proposal.

Kent played golf with some of his friends and helped his Dad at his new duck cabin. I still haven't packed a single thing.... but I did get rid of a ton of heavy stuff that we won't have to move - does that count?.... :)
