Happy 60th Wedding Anniversary!

We surprised my sweet grandparents with a big party for their 60th wedding anniversary. All of our family flew and drove in to Dallas to celebrate with them. They have both lived in Dallas their entire lives, so we invited some of their friends and quite a few came (at least 80+ friends). They were shocked, to say the least.
Marietta Johnson, my namesake (for whom I was named: you would think that is obvious, but I get asked all the time what a "namesake" is...) let us use her home in Dallas so that we did not have to rent out a huge place. In this picture, Big Marietta, the one with the white hair, her daughter, Mariette and then her grandaughter, Marietta - and me, that makes 4 Mariettas. Big Marietta's mother was also a Marietta, and we have a picture taken about 10 years ago with Big Marietta's mom, whose name is also Marietta, Big Marietta and her daughter, Mariette, and me. So it was fun to take a picture with the newest Marietta, who is 5. (Did you get all that?)
My favorite (and only) Poppa! All the boy cousins (that is a lot of Shadrach boys!) and Kent
My cousins, Sheana & Amanda right after Drewa (my grandmother) walked in.
They cut a white cake just like they did 60 years ago! (Aren't they precious?!?!)

Shadrach Cousins - I only see them about once a year - aren't they so pretty? I told Amanda (the one on the right) that I wouldn't stand next to her in anymore pictures because she is soooo tan (she just got back from Hawaii). She thought I was joking, but I seriously avoided standing next to her for the rest of the weekend.

P.S. Captain Jack got his manhood taken away from him today. Poor, poor puppy...... Kent said I am cruel, but it had to be done, right?
